Romancing The Home
Last weekend we had a few unexpected guests. To Keep things simple, I set an intimate table for four in the study/living room rather that in the dining room. To keep it casual, I used placemats to offset the new Marie Antoinette plates and added bowls and salad plates from my buffet set.
Since February 14 is approaching I decided to use the same table (I already had everything pulled out I needed), and do a Valentine's Day tablescape. To add a touch of romance to the setting I used a white tablecloth and added a cherub container to the table for four I already had. For even more amore I added some books of poetry and paper valentines. A simple menu is planned so the evening will be easy and fun for the hostess.
Are you as enamored with Cupid as me? If you celebrate, how do you plan to spend your Valentine's Day? I would love to hear!
