Marie Antoinette Tablescape

Marie Antoinette inspired plates

With a suggestion from a friend on what to do for a post on Valentine’s Day, an obvious choice seemed easy enough, “use your Marie Antoinette plates and do a tablescape!” These very lovely designed, 'Ladies in Waiting' plates from Anthropologie were gifted to me for Christmas a few years back by my sister and seemed the perfect theme for a Valentine’s Day table setting.
I wanted to set a small table for four in my study. The round table I’m using is usually stacked tall with my favorite art, travel and decorating books. After setting the table and photographing the tablescape I decided to leave the table set. I think I will put it to good use over the Valentine’s Day weekend.

I want to wish all of my dear friends a sweet and Happy Valentin’s Day. Thank you for your visit and I would love for you to leave a comment, it’s the only way I know you were here!

  13. Fabulous Emily!! First the plates are just entirely too much fun! Love the romantic setting for 4 with traditional roses and napkin bling! All of your photo effects are great too, love the sketched one where you can really appreciate the details on the plates. You have made this a very special Valentine's Day! We are on the coast and worried about the weather the next few days, trying to convince my husband to stay for a few days so we don't have to go north to ice~stay cozy and safe

  28. Wonderful. Simply wonderful. I'm in love with your plates.
Your home ain't too shabby either.

Have you done a tablescape for Bastille Day?? I've always wanted to, but always found myself too exhausted after setting up and taking down things for our big bash on the 4th.
I'm sure that wouldn't be the case if I had those plates.
