Let's go antiquing

Hello dear friends and welcome to another Tales of The Traveling Tote. Another episode here with no great travel adventures to share so I'm taking you antiquing with another stop for a little Christmas shopping. Have you seen the November/December copy of Victoria magazine? When I took a close look at the cover of my copy I was happy to see one of my favorite shops had made the cover.

About a ten minute drive from my home in Tuscaloosa, just across the river in Northport is where you'll find Adams Antiques & The Potager. Miss Courtney insisted we jump in the car and do a little antiquing! Since I haven't been there recently I though why not and off we went!

Once there we met Brandon who is the manager of the business. He knowns the ins and outs of antique furniture restoration and he was busy styling and working on a set of beautiful chairs. He is aways happy to chat and answer any questions you may have. After asking permission to take photos, which he smiled and said of course, Miss Courtney and I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the rooms of beautiful French relics and antiques.

We loved the many vignettes wrapped in pine garland getting ready for the annual Dickens's Downtown. An annual celebration by the town which transforms itself into a nineteenth century winter wonderland with participants dressed in Victorian era dress. Jim and I are looking forward to the event, it's like stepping back in time!

This beautiful antique is the perfect piece to hold the collection of Strasbourg porcelain
