Hello sweet friends. I hope you had the merest of Christmases. It's hard for me to believe Christmas has come and gone. My family all left to go home and I am reminiscing and looking at Christmas photos. I hope you will join me for a little Christmas afterglow!
(It's a little long)
The Foyer
Silver and gold, mostly silver this year. A little silver tinsel tree welcomes everyone home
The Living Room
The living room always has a table-top tree. This year a 4 1/2 foot live tree glows in the window. For this tree I used my vintage ornaments mixed with a few newer ornaments. Most have fur or feathers.
The Study
The Dining Room
Christmas centerpiece
Blue and white foot bath holding fresh flowers and maidenhair fern. The tartan runner is from Williams Sonoma
For the plate stack I used chargers I've had for years, from Macy's, Tartan dinner plates from Williams Sonoma, party plates and bowls from Juliska
Cherubs and my putti collection are souvenirs from Rome
The French Hutch
I used a lot of pinks this year
I tuck vintage and cards and books along with Christmas cards here and there on the hutch, all from friends and family
So many little keepsakes and treasures
and you probably noticed I love bottle brush trees
The Nativity Set
from Rome
The Family Room
The Kitchen
I didn't plan on another tree but when I saw this little tree thrown into a bin, half price I knew it had to come home with me! To have been cut and not be decorated is such a waste (to me). It reminds me of the little fat trees in Paris. I decorated it with food and fruit ornaments.
Santa Cookie Jar, Fitz and Floyd
Christmas pink Cyclamen
If you are still here, thank you. I started a post before Christmas and didn't find time to finish so this picked up where that one left off. I hope you will leave a comment, it's the only way I know you were here.
