PINK CASTLES

My home has two front entrances. Are you confused yet? The formal entrance hallway and the set-back entrance that enters the back hallway. The walkway leads from the driveway to the first entrance being the kitchen where it is set-back from the main part of the house. The walkway continues and leads to the formal entrance in the main part of my home. My guest usually come to this first entry. I call this my back foyer. It leads to the kitchen, the garage, a full guest bath and a laundry room. This is where I have my walk-in pantry and another coat closet. Close friends and family use this entrance to come and go. I always want to greet everyone with a cheerful space.
I have a second hutch here where I display favorite collectibles. This hutch has great storage space below and wood shelves on an iron hutch above. The doors are hand painted in a floral design with different shades of pink. Here are some of my favorite collectibles where whimsey takes over at times. Here is my redecorated hutch.

    GIVE ME RED RIBBON

    Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
    Not yellow or purple or green;
    But burgundy, chestnut, carmine or rose—
    These are the colors with sheen!

    Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
    Not saffron or opal or blue;
    But fuchsia, magenta, ruby or blush—
    Something of sanguinous hue!

    Give me red ribbon to tie in my hair,
    Not indigo, azure or grey;
    But scarlet, vermilion, dahlia or pink—
    Colors like these make my day!
