PINK CASTLES AND PRETTY PINK TULIPS

Pink Castles and Valentines

I have a small collection of Pink Castles by Johnson Brothers I have been collecting the past several years. It is one of my favorites patterns and colors and it is expensive even on sale. So, I just wait until I find it at discount stores and hope to eventually have place settings for eight. A few weeks ago I found six round platters I will use as plates. Mixing and matching with solid red and white were options for a tablescape. Last year I set a romantic tablescape in the study. This year I set the table in the dining room for my early Valentines family lunch. I used the pretty pink tulips I bought earlier this week so I could make photographs early.

Using crystal biscuit jars for the tulips, I filled a punchbowl with a Maidenhair fern for the centerpiece.

Vietri Rosso Vecchio Red

I decided to use my white ironstone

A Valentine card for each setting, lots of sparkle!

  1. Gorgeous! Love it. The Quimper is also impressive. I did a table today too but with a four year old, one only has a little bit of time! (You'll see!)

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  4. Hi, Emily! I was thrown off by the new header (new to me, anyway!) at first. I keep forgetting that it's possible to change headers!!! I saw the Quimper plates you used to have in your header in your post. Your table is beautiful, and I love the Pink Castles design. Isn't it crazy how much those pieces cost??!?!! Had we only known oh-so-many years ago!!! I have probably told you this before, but it bears repeating: I LOVE your hardwood floors!!!!!!!! They are truly a sight to behold!!! Your dining room is so pretty (the window treatment is outta sight the way it puddles to the floor!), and you just make it that much prettier every time you put together one of these knockout tablescapes. I hope that you and yours enjoy a peaceful, loving and very happy Valentine's Day!

  31. Hi Emily, I love your JB dishes. I only have four dinner plates, but I LOVE them. I love the idea of using a fern in your punch bowl. My punch bowl doesn't get any use these days, but a plant in it would make me happy. Your wire heart cloche is adorable. Happy ❤ Day!
