TEA WITH PETER AND SPRING SCENES

I have two place settings and a tea pot in the Peter Rabbit pattern by Wedgwood, a gift from my sister years ago. This year I decided to set the tea table in the living room for a tea. I used a moss covered basket with a spring arrangement. I added the decorations from a floral arrangement given to me by my mom.
I’m going to serve breakfast here this weekend.

Spring is budding out all over here, inside and out! I hope you are enjoying spring in your little corner of the world! Please leave a comment so I’ll know you dropped in.

  2. This so makes me smile. Peter Rabbit has always been a favorite and how I love the dishes. The flowers, the vintage illustrations -- it all makes for a nice start to spring. Now if the cold would only stop!

  3. Oh my goodness.....your blog banner is adorable and the Peter Rabbit dishes are to die for. We don't have any blossoms out yet. I was so in hopes the fruit trees would be blooming for our Easter company next weekend but this cold weather (and snow to come) won't allow it to happen. But hope springs eternal. :) Happy happy Pink Saturday. xo

  26. What a lovely post. I really love the Wedgwood Peter Rabbit china. My girls always used it and the Bunnykins, too. Both my girls drank hot tea for breakfast from a very young age, and they always drank their tea in their bunny china. I really miss those little days!

Such a sweet table, and I love the art in this post, too, Emily!

  28. Love your Wedgewood Peter Rabbit tea set. You have the larger version. The larger plate allows more of the story to be told on the plate. I have the doll size teapot and plates. It is neat that I can tell you I set a tea party table for my granddaughter this week and had a great time. I haven't done my post yet but hope to this week. It was a fun occasion for us both.

Your spring pictures are so pretty as well as the vintage ones. My favorite are the children making a flower garland with the lambs in the background. So sweet!

    Happy Spring to you.

  32. I finished my post on my granddaughters tea party so please look at the Wedgewood plates I have. So interesting I think I will google Wedgewood Peter Rabbit and see the versions. Mine would have been bought in the 80's. Do you know the year yours was made. Aren't dishes fun and interesting?

  48. Hi, Emily! What a sweet and sentimental table! Your sister knew JUST the right dishes to buy that would inspire a youthful feeling and embrace Easter all in one! The cups are my favorite. I can just imagine sipping tea or cocoa from them with my pinky finger regally extended! :-) The moss basket is really cool, too! I have moss-covered planters without a handle. Now that I see yours with a handle, I'm wishing......Woulda, coulda, shoulda!!! :-) Have a very happy Easter, dear Emily!
