NIBBLE, NIBBLE LITTLE MOUSE

Hello everyone and hello February! I can’t believe we are already into the second month of the new year. I have no idea where January disappeared to.

I wanted to set a little table for you with a few of my new favorite things. My sister has an eye for great bargains and new discoveries.  First is an adorable set of felt woodland animals from Magic Cabin. I do love collecting these little animals, especially for the holidays. This set comes with a darling felt acorn with it’s own door so the set stores away in the acorn.  Included in the set, a raccoon, squirrel, rabbit, fox, mouse and a blue bird. Iris knew my love for these little creatures and knew how much I would enjoy them, she also made sure they were age appropriate, three plus! I must say, I don’t think I would give this to a three year old, very small pieces.

Here is the little green door, closed in photo above and open below

Next is a new found confections shop from Maggie Louise, an Austin, Texas based company (I am not advertising, jut a wonderful gift). One of my Christmas gifts was a classic sampler box of confections. The unique customization of hand painted chocolates are unique and creative, little works of art. If you are looking for a different kind of “box of chocolates,” perhaps for a special gift, go here for a look. I will be ordering for gifts, great selection inspired by travel, art, fashion pop culture and my favorite, southern charm.

Combining these two gifts I decide to include my favorite winter scene dinnerware and set a table for two. I am using my Juliska Country Estate Winter Frolic Ruby, along with the felt animals and candy for a fun tablescape.

Enters Miss Mouse, she loves a nibble nibble in the garden too

I decided to use one of the maidenhair ferns from Christmas

Juliska glassware

I hope you enjoyed this little wintery scene table for two. February is the final month I use this pattern and it will soon be time to put away until next year. I think I may leave this table set to enjoy for a little while longer but the delicious candy won’t last long! I love hearing from you and hope you will leave a comment so I know you stopped by. As always, thank you for your visit.

  1. Emily, this is all delightful. You know my love of these little felted animals, though I don't know Magic Cabin. What an adorable set! And, Maggie Louise ~ this is totally new to me, but you can bet I'm going to find this shop. Love seeing your Winter Frolic on the table. I'm debating what dishes to use for my dinner party on the 13th, but Winter Frolic might be the winner. Thanks for sharing the fun!

  6. I love the little felted animals. I have a few felted critters that keep behind closed glass doors. Have to protect them from the kitties! Your Juliska dishes are wonderful. I've admired the pattern for several years now. The last thing I need is more dishes. Happy Monday!

  10. Emily, I am totally enchanted by your felted gift package, candies and table setting! My winter cardinal table had a felted bird nest I bought on our travels last summer, and I just love it. Yours is just cuteness exponential, and those candies are spectacular. Of course I love the Juliska dish and glassware. What a nice winter post, and Josh Groban's rendition of Pure Imagination sure helps carry it all! Love that cd.
