Revisiting Fall Vignettes and A Quimper Tablescape
This fall Jim and I have been busy, and time has passed so quickly I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. Thank goodness it's not my year to prepare the feast!
Last month we traveled to visit family and another week we attended the annual meeting of Quimper Club International in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. During our trip to Louisiana we toured plantations and visited members' homes to view Quimper collections. More on this trip later.
It is through my interest in faience, and especially Quimper, that I decided to start a blog. Shortly after, I met Sarah at "Hyacinths for the Soul". She is a collector of Quimper, and I contacted her through her blog. She invited me to join QCI and through our blogs we've become great friends. The day we left for our trip to Baton Rouge I received a lovely gift from Sarah. She certainly knows her way around my kitchen and she thought these lovely towels would look great here. Thank You Sarah, they are beautiful and add sunshine to the room. They will show up in my Christmas photos on The French Hutch.
I think the colors in the Quimper plates are just the perfect touch for a Thanksgiving tablescape.
