HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA

Wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July!

I am so thankful I live in a country where freedom rings. Happy and thankful to be an American!
May your day be full of celebrations. Wishing all of my friends a wonderful day......

America the Beautiful
Hymn Lyrics

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!

America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassion'd stress
A thorough fare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness.

America! America!
God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law.

O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life.

America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

  2. Not only do I love patriotic things, but I love the colors of our flag to the point I have to be careful not to overdo the red-white-and blue in my house for fear of looking like the White House! Happy Independence Day to you!

  4. Beautiful red, white, and blue! Hope your fourth was festive. We had a quite rainy day, but that was just fine with us. We need the rain, and the relief from the heat is beyond wonderful! Happy July, sweet friend!

  11. Hi Emily, you created beautiful patriotic centerpieces for the 4th. Cute pillow on the bench and the cupcakes were mostly likely enjoyed by all. Nothing like living in the USA and having such freedom. PS: Our daughter and family left for Europe today. They are going to London, Paris, then on to Greece for a two week trip.

  13. A very happy th of July patriotic post, Emily! Our celebration was a quiet one this year as our county in Colorado has a fire ban in effect, due to hot and dry weather conditions, and no fireworks were allowed.
