Quarantine Retail Therapy

Return of Retail

How about a little retail therapy though a favorite shop of mine! These are photos I made in early March before all of this Covid-19 nightmare began.
Here, in my state, local and state restrictions were lifted for parks and lakes and some retail. Both shop owners and shoppers were happy to get back to normal, or should I say the new norm (whatever that is). Some businesses are requiring masks and only a certain number of shoppers allowed at any given time. I am not quite ready to get back out there so when I ran across these photos I thought it would be fun to do a little "window shopping" through photos. No words necessary, just enjoy.

How do we ever show our gratitude to all of the emergency workers, the doctors and nurses, all of the front line workers! Thinking about all of our fellow Americans who've lost jobs and have had their lives changed from this virus and to those who have lost family members and friends. Thoughts and prayers are with them and with our country.

I hope you enjoyed a little retail therapy here, a break from quarantine. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will leave a comment, it's the only way I know you were here.

  2. Emily, I see why this shop is a favorite of yours. It's gorgeous, so many wonderful things and so beautifully arranged. I see more than a few things I'd pick up if I were in there. Maybe window shopping is best! (I'm not ready to get back there, either.)

  3. That is a lovely shop. I did go to Pineapples, a local gift shop, and Hobby Lobby. It was so nice to be out. I wore a mask and most people in HL had on masks as well. The two stores I visited are working hard to make it a safe and sanitary experience. I felt so good when I got home, it really lifted my spirits. The owner of the local shop was glad to see as I was the only person in the shop. I went there to spend some of my stimulus check. :)

  4. Loys of eye candy Emily. The store would be wonderful to visit. I see half of the country is opening up. We shall see if anything changes. I know we are all ready to get back to norm, but we want to remain safe. Thanks for sharing this Retail Therapy. Happy Sunday.

  5. Nothing beats a little retail therapy Emily, thank you for taking us window shopping!! Are any of those photos from the store you took me too, I remember it was quite a treasure trove! Thank goodness for Amazon, they have been bringing me everything I need! The beaches here have been packed since they opened Thursday at 5 pm, and there are so many boaters it looks like the 4th of July! I pray that things will continue to reopen while keeping up the new norms... Looks like a beautiful week ahead in Alabama!

  7. Beautiful shop, Emily. did anything go home with you? Texas had what was called a soft opening on Friday. I don't get out either other than necessities, but I admit I did pop in to one shop owned by a longtime dear friend. I was in search of a special 70th birthday present, and I knew she would have it. All wearing masks, no other customers in the shop until I was leaving, and a young couple showed up to order china. My gift was wrapped and in the mail by that afternoon, all taken care of by this shop. What service!
Stay home and stay safe, sweet friend.

Gros bisous.

  9. I did enjoy my shopping through your pictures, Emily. The ceiling of the shop is gorgeous. I guess we will all remember what we did before Covid and how it is after. I hope one day things will go back to normal. I did shop at Tuesday Morning and Hobby Lobby and most everyone wears a mask. It sure takes the fun out of shopping. I hope all is well with you.

  11. Just the sort of shop I like! So many lovely things. Our shops are opening as well, I've been to the craft store this week to buy some yarn, it was heaven.
