TALES OF THE TRAVELING TOTE AND A GIVEAWAY

Welcome to another adventure of The Tales of the Traveling Tote. This is where my fellow Tales of the Traveling Tote friends and I share our latest travels, projects and our most current events. You will have an opportunity to visit other members at the end of this post and learn about our giveaway.

More Tales in the Time of Covid19

We are going out only when we need to and then we go early and try to avoid crowds. Being outside helps when you need to stay home most of the time. Early summer we were adding new plants to the Veranda and I've enjoyed adding flowers. It has been really hot so time spent outside now has to be early mornings and late afternoon. I've always loved being outside early, just something about starting the day with the birds singing and sparkle from the dew on the grass. With cooler weather predicted for the week you will find me outside on the veranda.

Enjoying flags all summer long, Memorial Day to Labor Day

This pair enjoys having a tea party
So happy to find them at the MacKenzie-Childs virtual barn sale

Since our travel plans for this year had to be cancelled and Miss Courtney was so disappointed she didn't get to go on the trip to Scandinavia, we decided to take a virtual tour to some of my favorite places! And include her......

This is the trip that was cancelled with Jim's retirement group

So, since we have no travel to share from this year, join Miss Courtney and me on some of the cities Miss Courtney would like to visit.

So, have you learned to Zoom? I did and I've enjoyed meetings with friends and Traveling Tote friends.
It's a great way to stay in touch!

I am grateful to have seen so many sunsets in far-away places. But now, during this time of Covid19, I am thankful to be in my own backyard!

  2. Hi Emily! I certainly enjoyed traveling the world with you and Miss Courtney! So many beautiful photos of past trips and adventures! I am so sorry the Scandinavia trip was cancelled, that would have been amazing...I agree, I do think we have learned to appreciate our own backyards, and your veranda looks beautiful! Hopefully as the weather cools and fall approaches you will be able to enjoy it more often. I love all your flag decor for Labor Day, I need to get busy!! The Zoom meetings have been such fun, and it was so much fun emailing each other all through the online Barn sale! Happy September and I hope to see you soon!!

All your outdoor spaces look lovely. I'm afraid its time for a major refresh here, but will have to wait till new plants are available. Slim pickings at the garden center this past weekennd!
I'm so happy that Mack and Kenzie arrived. My Mack is patiently waiting on his girlfriend!

  5. Emily, your home looks as beautiful as any place one could travel! Your veranda is gorgeous. Like you, we enjoy early mornings the very most during warm weather, long light days. We are also expecting a cooldown later this week, and it opens up opportunities for enjoyable times outdoors. I'm sorry your trip to Scandinavia had to be cancelled, but you truly have enjoyed some spectacular trips, as the pictures tell. Your barn finds are cute! Here's to staying the course....Happy September.

  6. Your porch is just gorgeous! What a place to summer!
Those bears are so adorable! I missed so many things - never saw those cuties - that's for sure.
Miss Courtney and I love the same places - I loved traveling along with her on her dream vacations!
I have wanted to go to Scandinavia too - My grandmother was half Swedish and half Norwegian, so that is on my bucket list! And now we are off to fall - yikes - everything happens too quickly!

  7. Emily, your patio is fantastic. I love your pots, your brick, your bears who enjoy tea! I would love to go on a river cruise, and I enjoyed seeing your photos from Italy. I haven't been to Italy since my twenties!
I know I've already said it, but I love the bears, and I hate I missed them during the sale. They wouldn't have broken en route! ;P
Hopefully we can get together soon with Jenna for lunch!

  14. I didn’t see those teddies during the barn sale!!! They are darling! That barn sale spoiled me. I hope they have one again.
Love your garden and outdoor spaces. Here in AZ, it’s stay in time. We’ve had 58 days of temps over 105 - most of them in a row! Thank God for air conditioning and that I like my husband🤪

  15. Aren't we lucky to have so many travel memories, it is especially nice to be able to look back on them now while we can't safely travel. BTW, I've been trying to find a way to comment on my Blogger friends sites, hope this will go through.
